Wondering if you could help. Cleared the check engine light and it went out for like 2 miles. The underboost code went away but it still has the P0069 code in it. I just picked the truck up last thursday so I made an appointment. Also the turbo make a screeching noise as well. I do have the BD engine brake installed. Does anyone know if this will throw that code. I havent installed the upfitter swiches yet so the brake is on all the time for right now.
I have never read anything about this code before but it is interesting because it is a reference between the map and the baro sensor that is causing the code. If the baro is ok the the map is out of tolerance in reference to the baro and it throws the code. I do not have a break on my truck so I do not know if it affects the map in someway or if any of the other mods you have could affect that relationship in someway. Well if you figure it out let me know sounds interesting.
I don't know off hand what the p0069 is, but if you have an exhaust engine brake that closes the exhaust off, I'm willing to bet you've had some type of EGR code. The exhaust brake builds to much back pressure for the EGR to remain closed, and blows it open setting a code for unwanted EGR operation. Have seen it once before on a King Ranch.
Dang, I was way off. I actually just happen to have my 06' PC/ED manual here from work. the P0069 code is MAP/BARO correlation. The PCM is seeing a difference between the 2 sensors greater then a specified value.
I will post as soon as they fix it. I think it will need a Turbo as well...for the screech noise. I am going to install my Upfitter switches in the a.m. and then I will be a ble to turn of the exhaust brake and see if that makes the MAP/Baro code go away. I am still going to the dealer to have them check it out tho. I am worried about the screech. It has an AirRaid intake on it also and the filter is dirty so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I am trying to figure out whether to go with a new Banks intake or a stock one. The one I have now doesnt have a lid and I am not sure which way to go. I can get a Banks one cheap through my buisness account but I dont want to send any unwanted junk through the engine.
Hooked up the upfitter swiches today and now I am ble to turn the engine brake off as well. Took the truck into the dealer for Screaching turbo and check engine light. Hopefully I will see it tomarrow and it will be fixed. I 'll keep ya posted.
Had a call from the shop foreman at the dealership and they found that there were codes in the ECU for failed injectors...all 8. He says possibly a injector driver module. They cleaned the turbo and no dice. Will need a new one. Hopefully I will see the truck back here by the end of the week.

Good luck with your truck. I had problems with my BD brake. The turbo was surging and I got codes from it. It was the EBP sensor. The brake uses the sensor to monitor the turbo and the EGR. When I unhooked the sensor from the brake and put it back to stock the truck ran normal. Somehow there wasn't a good connection. What BD told me to do was check voltage at the BD brake controller. This is a copy of the email from them. Hope this helps.
The connection seems to be a bit sensitive.
With the vehicle running but the brake turned off I need you to measure the voltage in the EBP in and EBP out. In voltage should be around 1.15-1.35v. The output needs to be within .08V of the input. If this is correct then check the EBP out wire harness back to the factory connector and then the ECM. If the voltage was not correct, inspect the BD EBP wiring harness and connectors to verify proper connection. It has been known that the power, ground and signal wires have been wired incorrectly in the BD connector
Well, The dealer is going to disconnect the Banks Six Gun and I have installed the BD engine brake on an upfitter switch so it is turned off for now. The wiring on this truck is a mess and they used those blue tap connectors like you get from the trailer light kit...uuugh. So I am going to go through and re-wire with all new water tight heat shrink connectors...just cause I am **** about that stuff. Can I download the instructions for the BD stuff that I have? I am not so sure that it has anything to do with that other than maybe the MAp/Baro code. Otherwise it has all 8 injector codes in it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Thanks for the post.

Here is the download for the exhaust brake. You might need to do more than just turn off the brake with the upfitter. I would check the connections to the pcm and ebp sensor from the bd brake module.
The dealer called today and said the CEL is on because of the Banks system. I guess I will be removing the 6 gun and PDA but I will keep the intake and the High Ram elbow until I find a stocker. I find it hard to believe that after 50,000 miles all this has happened. I will just get a good set of guages and keep it stock. They are repacing the turbo and another sensor or 2 while its there so I will get it back tomarrow sometime and then I will rip the banks out of it.
When my hpop blew the first thing the dealer asked was if I had any Banks stuff on the truck. He said he has seen a lot of problems with it on the 6.0. Are they fixing the turbo and sensors under warranty?
Yes, The service department has been very good to me and it has been a real pleasure to have a dealer like them. They said it would be ok to leave the high ram intake and the monster exhaust, and the cold air intake on it since they really have no bearing on anything. They told me to remove the six gun and PDA. So I guess when I get it back I will do so and fix the BD Engine brake wirining as well. Other than that I will be looking for some guages and a better tuner since I do tow a lot.
Hope to get the truck back tomarrow and will have the Banks ripped out this weekend. Although it is disconnected now. The dealer removed the cable that goes between the ECU and the Six Gun Module.
Any suggestions on a tuner. I dont want to have ny extreme tunes that will strch head bolts or anything like that just something to boost the power for towing not racing.
Wont have the truck back til Tuesday and I will post all the stuff they did. The needed to order some exhaust parts that are going to take 6 hours to install. The salesman didnt know exactly what they were replacing so as soon as I get the RO I will post all the parts that were replaced. I miss my truck.
