Hey guys who are planning on commin to the Louisville Swap Meet, it's already snowing pretty hard up here. Right now it's melting as soon as it hits the pavement, but the grass is covered pretty good. I hope I'm right and it's too warm to stick to the roads??????? Otherwise we wont be able to go to the swap meet and this is the good one!!
truxx 1956 started snowing here too around 8am, i sure hope the weather is good enough to go, i didn't pm you but did leave you message on your weird thread, hopefully me and the big blue thumb will be there.

My "weird" thread huh?? Just kidding, I knew what you meant. I'm praying it wont snow like they said, but lookin out the window right now my gut tells me they're finally goin to get one right. They are about due?? Oh well at least I can work on my buddy's '56?
You guys are a bunch of wimps. A little snow wouldn't stop me from going to a good swap meet. Up here everything, swap meet wise, closes up at the end of September and it doesn't start until the end of April. It makes for a very long winter. There was a swap meet two weekends ago, nothing special, I usually don't find anything there but it's a swap meet and I make it no matter what. I need my old car junk fix, I need to see and feel rusty, beat up junk!
WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL, I drove a truck for 40 years, logged over 5 1/2 million miles in all kinds of weather so unless something bad happens, I'll be there.
i geuss it's your turn guy's ! we got it tuesday 10-11 inches ,in about 4 hours and white out conditions . it took me 5 hours to do one 100 mile round trip on my route !!!! i want flippin ' spring here now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to give you guys a hard time. I am so desperate for a good swap meet and to be able to get to work on my trucks. I read about the guys in the southern part of the country working on and driving their trucks and it makes me crawl the walls.
I am also so sick of winter. I hate winter! I can't wait for the days when I don't have to wear a winter jacket.
Yeah us Southern swap junkies;don't know how to react to alittle dusting; they say Louisville could get 10" to 18" inches. I know you great white snowplowing brothers are laughing; but you havn't try driving with the crazy drivers down here in alittle snow. It's like dodge ball and the fat kid is a easy target....
We plan on driving up tomorrow morining leaving at 4am.
We got 6 inches of snow this week in North Dallas area. Mon and Thur 3" each time. Thats unheard of for us, I've been here 20+ years and never seen it snow twice in the same week much less in March.
Talk about snow plowing, i do that on the side with my 01- 250 super duty but had a little hand surgury yesterday, so it snows the next day plus the best swap of the year look out louisville, here i come if i have to PLOW MY WAY THERE.
HE HE Just had to rattle ya'll, actually I had enough snow to last me a life time. I was born and raised around Ann Arbor Michigan. So once we finished our 20 years in the Air Force, we opted to go South. Actually even Alabama is suppose to get some snow tonight, they say 1-3 inches. Trust me these people go absolutly baserk over l inch of snow, there isn't a galloon of milk or a loaf of bread to be found, don't see what they get out of milk sandwhiches!!! Anyways with some luck ya'll will make your swap meet, we don't plan on going, Happy Hunting.
Here! here to the grocery robbing; yeah I can relate to the bare shelve; its wierd, acouple inches of snow and we can't seem to have enough groceries to last 24hrs. lol
