f1 grill install ?

I'm trying to assemble the front sheet metal on a 48 f1, with a camaro IFS. since the ford and chev parts do not line up, it's getting confusing. I have checked galleries a but cant find the pictures needed. also looked at some "exploded" view drawings but still need help with some basics: someone borrowed my camera so I'll try to describe the problems
* how do the grill (top) and front end of fenders attach?
* where does the radiator mount ( frame)fit in relation to the above mentioned grill top and fender attachment. ie: do the three pieces-fender, grill and and radiator all bolt together with the same bolts?
If anyone has pictures showing this area (top of grill, top front of fender and radiator bracket) they would be helpful.

The radiator support is the key element to the whole front clip. The raditor support bolts to the front crossmember of the frame and supports the entire front clip. There are 2 bolts at the bottom of the radiator support that are spring loaded. On either side of the radiator support there are three bolts per side that bolt through the inner fenders to the radiator support.

To further complicate things, the radiator support can be mounted in 2 different positions depending on if the truck was a 6cyl or an 8cyl. On the 6cyl trucks the radiator was mounted a couple of inches farther forward than on the 8cyl trucks.

The rear of the front clip only has a handful of bolts holding it on. There is on bolt per side joining the inner fenders to the cab. There may also be one bolt per side joining the bottom rear of the inner fenders to the frame (these are usually long gone). The rear of the fenders do not bolt to cab at all, they bolt to the running boards at the bottom of the fenders.

I understand.

I think I would assemble the front clip, complete with radiator support and mount it to the cab and running boards. Use shims and blocks under the radiator support until you get the front clip lined up where you want it and then fabricate a mount for the bottom of the radiator support.

Hopefully someone with a clipped frame will chime in here and walk you through how they did it.

I just completed assembling the front clip, including the front cross member - it was still in my scrap metal pile. I just bolted it to the bottom of the radiator support to see better how to fab a new one .The f1 cross member is to wide for the camaro clip.
thanks again
