finally gonna write about this thing....
Hey guys, well i did get the truck back from Oliver bros. I can say that driving the truck is different, maybe its that I am not used to feeling it shift but it seems like the TC locks up funny or the shift from 3-4 isn't quite right. Otherwise the rebuild got rid of my grinding noise, and the shop replaced my entire PRNDL mechanism in the column and that is nice too to not have that %^$@ ring falling out all the time. Once i get bout 500 miles on her I take her back for a follow up and see what they say. Next Q is I had a 6 pinion and the shop said they put a 5 pinion planetary in there.... is that the upgrade or am I looking at things wrong somehow, will post pics of the old planetary once i get back to TX from leave monday.

I got a price of 1350 for a totally remanufactured transmission with a 3 yr 75,000 mile warranty form Advance discount aaaa auto parts in Tampa Florida. I was quoted 300 to R and R it at a local shop , I think I am goint to go that route myself as mine just went out like that in my 91 F350 diesel Crew Cab w/ ;ongbed, 7.3 litre, good luck TampaBay Bill
