Ok- I am going to try to clear this up ONE more time. My original requestr was for a "correct" air cleaner- be it an oil bath -which IS the CORRECT air filter unit for 1965, OR a "paper" unit from a 66 {closest year to 65}. It seemed to me that "BILL" was more interested in correcting what I was saying than helping me- at least thats what i got from his posts. If I misunderstood- I am soory but I think if you will re-read your posts Bill- you will see what I mean. I hope this clears the air.
Now, if anyone has the info I requested and NOT a correction of a technicality in speech, I would appreciate your input

In other words, I am trying to stay as close to factory original, or at least bonifide FORD, as possible.

I find this unbelievable Bill, You are STILL going on with sharing information that I already HAD, complete with part numbers no less. Part numbers are great until you go to the local ford dealer and tell you their computer doest list parts that old! Ok OK- you are Lord God King Bufu Counter man-- I salute you. NOW can you give me any USEFUL info that answers my QUESTION: Does anyone know anyone OR where I might appropriate either an OIL BATH Aircleaner OR a COMPATIBLE paper unit for a 352 (correction- its a 361 since I bored it over 30 during rebuild) which is supplied fuel by a 2 barrel (autolite) carb.

What did I do wrong in my first post where I gave you the the part numbers for the chrome trim and accelerator cable?

My second post stated oil baths only were used on 65/66's trucks. Sorry, my bad, I didn't know you were aware of that fact.

I even searched Dennis Carpenters and Green Sales' online parts locators for all three parts NOS.

Any parts store can sell you the Motorcraft air cleaner filters, the FA-23 type was also used on 1965/68 Mustangs with 260/289/302 engines.

Have you looked in Hemmings Motor News (hemmings.com) - Catagory: Ford parts 1954 and up? How about Cars & Parts, or Old Cars Weekly?

You can also run want ads in those publications.

That's about it for the usual sources for NOS parts...I have two NOS accelerator cables, an extra air cleaner. and some extra door panel trim.

These are extra parts for my 1965 F100, so I really don't want to part with them, but even if I did, you couldn't afford them.

MpanFla, I can't see why you got your panties in a wad. You were only being given the facts. By the way, "irregardless" is not a word. If it were, it would be in the dictionary just before irregular and irregularity, of which you seem to be suffering. Steve

Bill:First, I dont know you and have no reason to be contraversial with you . You didnt offer ANYTHING except CORRECTION on jermain issues. I THOUGHT I was posting a "want ad". I DID express my need clealy enough without all of the technical correction. I JUST WANTED AN OIL BATH OR SOME OTHER COMPATIBLE PAPER air filter to replace the Auto Zone chrome one that I presently had on my 65. Next, look at your last post- the last sentence-- WHY INSULT me based on information that you could not POSSIBLY have. Specific- How would you know WHAT I could afford? What possible purpose was that statement for other than to send a "nanny nanny BOO BOO- I have what you want and YOU cant have it" message. If you do not wish to part with your parts, that is perfectly understandable and I do not wish you to do so. Simply put, If you DID want to sell your parts, why not just say so or do not mention it. If you Do NOT know where I CAN get what I am looking for, just DON't say it. This sort of behavior is indicative of a SERIOUS inferiority complex, NOT a sincere desire to be helpful. Thank you for the research that you claim you did-Really I HAD already covered those myself but I appreciate your effort in that regard.

NOT a sincere desire to be helpful. Who else has typed the part numbers and searched the internet trying to help, you? Who else has given you other NOS sources to look at? Garbz2-I don't quite understand your intent about the oil bath whenyou say "do not ask me to ship it" How else would I be able to get it to Florida? Contrary to Bill's opinion of my financial position, I would be happy to compensate you for any time, effort, and expenses involved-within reason of course. But, IF the message was that you just dont want to be bothered, why even bring it up?? I AM sorry if I sound "touchy" but I HAVE had my fill of cyber wish- they -knew -it -all types that use this and other forums to maturbate their egos because they couldnt impress a rock in real life. Thus some of my responses to others may have seemed a bit coarse.

Bill- Re- Read this thread FROM the beginning OBJECTIVELY- MAYBE you will see what YOU did to cause this contraversy.
I certainly didn't offer UNSOLICITED grammer correction or "KNITPICK" of technical facts in an effort to make anyone else look ignorant OR stupid as YOU did.
Oh I got it-- let us just chalk it up to a not so good bedside manner.

NOW- can I get back to my search please. IF any of you would like to have a SERIOUS conversation about the object of my search WITHOUT the personal slams and showing off, I am all ears. I am not asking anyone for charity. I will be glad to compensate finacially for any effort involved which provides me with the parts I am seaching for.

THANX MPAnFLA

What's offensive about this post? No one else objected...just you.

Here's one more piece of advice, take it for what it's worth.

The 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com / also sold on ebay.

You may have a need to locate a few part numbers at some point...and I guarantee, you won't get them from me!
