I've pulled way more than I can stop and that's enough for me.

There's a guy over on FordSix.com by the name of Lazy JW, he's got a couple pics in his signature of his truck pulling around eight 1 ton hay bales. About 16,000lbs. Probably all day long too.

I think I've seen those pics. If it's the ones I'm thinking of those bails aren't anywhere near 1 ton each. Maybe 750-800 lbs unless they're fresh alfalfa.

man, you guys talk about pulling actual stuff. i'm surprised when my truck can pull itself up a hill, down a hill, or just pulling itself in general is exciting. it just won't get out of its own way.

That's because you're probably thinking speed. The BIG pulling here is most likely under 5 - 10 mph, and that it can pull it all day long without complaining. The other every day stuff is still when speed isn't a concern.

i get what your saying. i wouldn't consider 5-10 mph. "pullling". i'm thinking going down the road and staying with normal traffic, not getting the finger and honked at cause your too damn slow is pulling. i understand what you guys mean by max pulling. my pos does feel like it has some pretty decent torque down low. if you saw my truck you would understand, why i'd be afraid to pull anything behind it in fear that the damn thing would crumble apart. a saltine has more stability than the body of my truck. lol

I have a longbed 94 f150 300i6 mazda 5 speed we pull 20foot trailer with 14 round hay bails. Just farm to farm dont want to get over 35 mph loaded like that. She has 330,000 on her, and valve cover and oil pan have never been off.

Before I started using the cummins I use to pull my pulling tractor on a 25 ft gooseneck w/ my 300 when it was stock, about 14,000lbs of tractor/weights and trailer, not including the truck. On flat ground I'd stand on it and it would never go above 60mph (T-18, 3.08's, 31" tires) I may try it agian this summer just for the hell of it to see how it pulls with the mods on it, but I'm afriad unless I can keep it wrapped up it'll be in 3rd a lot (lost a lotta low-end).

I have pulled a semi with a half a house on it out b4, it was snowy/icy and the semi was crossing the railroad tracks into town, well it slowed way down b/c it was real rough since the train had made giant tracks in the frozen snow. Anyways he slowed down to much and his back tires dropped right in the divots/tracks, so I happened to be driving by and offered to help or at least tried to since they were waiting for somebody to come w/ a tractor and I didn't want to just leave em on the tracks. So even though my truck was on gravel I wasn't able to do much, but once I started slacking the chain and jerking on him I got em out finally. So idk the weight and it really had nothing to do with what engine I had, just nice to tell ppl I pulled out a semi, lol.
