Both of my front door's rear edge stick out about an 1/16 of an inch. (I'll post pics later) I can push them in until they are even with the rear doors.
I'd like to know where the adjustment point is for these are.
Is it the latch on the pillar? Can it be adjusted? It seems like if it was in more everything would line up better.
Or is it the door hinge? That would stink...these doors are quite heavy.

Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject.
Just adjust the striker on the pillar. If you loosen those screws you can adjust it to your likings. I would place it to where it is facing down slightly facing the insdie of the vehicle and try to push it back as much as possible so that the the latch can catch it nice and tightly.
What if the driverside door drops 3/16 to 1/4 of a inch when opened...is this a more difficult adjustment?

While I have not looked at the Excursion door hinges, most vehicles DO ALLOW adjustment at the hinges. There's usually a threaded plate to which the hinges bolt to, and that plate is "loosely" captured on the other side of the A-pillar ... loose enough that adjustments can be made, but not so loose that it will drop inside when all the bolts are removed. Same thing with the striker ... it's usually threaded into a loosely captured plate/nut which allows adjustment.
I repeat that I could be wrong since I have not had a need to research the Excursion hinges.
I will look into it and see if it can be adjusted. I have done it before on other cars but it is tricky to gat the door aligned just right once you start to loosten the hinges and move the door around.
