i asked you guys to pray awhile back for a 13 year old i know, who is the son of my Church's Missionary to Belize, Central America. he has a brain tumor, and only a cat scan could be done in belize. we didnt know what we were gonna do. now, the belizian government in cooperation with the USA is going to cover expenses for this $70,000 operation, and the medical bills after that. God has really helped us and them, but we still need your all's prayers. we are going on a mission trip to belize leaving march 25. the boy and his mother will be coming to Richmond, VA on the 17 of this month for the tests and operation. Please dont forget us in your prayers. thanks and God Bless.
Best wishes and prayers to you all. Especially our amigo in Belize. With all the crap we go thru and complain about in daily life, it is the stories of those whose lives may be cut short that inspie us. My wife and I were married by a friend of ours (he got ordained at our request). We met him under separate circumstances in college. He was diagnosed, at age 40, with stage 4 colon cancer last summer. He had quit his job with Microsoft last Spring to spend time raising money for inner city kids and did not renew his health insurance. We have raised $120k+ for his treatment (goal is 200k). Treatment should be available at no cost to anyone with such a condition. Otto has friends with money. Many do not. He had his 4th "folfox" chemo treatment today. His story is here: www.ottoschutt.com
Caution you may be inspired.
God Bless.

PS - Is this a truck forum or what? It's been one of those days....
the people who go to the mission ahve raised the money to buy his mother a round trip plane ticket and pay for some of her accomodations. when we found that otu this week, it amazed us. the average ANNUAL income down there is only $1200 per house hold! imagine 30 families coming up with enogh money on that budget to buy his mother a round-trip ticket. they are great people. i am looking forward to going back, but AJ and his mother will be here in the states for treatment while we are down there on the trip. thats the only time the gov't would go through with it. and they still wanted us to come at that time. they said if we didnt come then it would break their hearts. man i love them.
