Exhaust: Aluminized vs Stainless?

Is stainless exhaust really worth the extra $100 or so?

YES!
Unless you're just fixing it to sell it, then no. But if you like your truck. Then yes, stainless is the only way to go.

Stainless is worth it if you plan on keeping the vehicle and you live in an area where road salt is used in the winter. If you live in a hotter drier climate, then it is probably not worth the extra expense and aluminized will be plenty adequate.

I recently sold a Plymouth Sundance that I bought new back in '93 that had 175.xxx on it. The entire exhaust was SS and had never been replaced, nor did it need replacing. That should answer that question.
