09 rangers

I have heard the 09 Rangers are gonna be bigger in size. Is this true? Has anyone else heard this?

I haven't heard anything like that. It will be the last year for them so I would imagine they will be the same.

No, the 09 ranger will be the same, just a carry over from 08. The bigger ranger won't come untill they release the new mid size F-100.

Ranger Assembly Plant

So, where are the Rangers going to be assembled when the Saint Paul assembly plant closes? I read in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press yesterday (March 4th) that Ford is going to keep the Saint Paul assembly plant open longer than originally planned. Apparently Rangers are selling very well in the US south and southwest due to fleet sales and buyers like you and I. The Rangers suffice for the purpose intended but don't carry the price increase of a larger truck. As for me, if I need a larger bed for hauling junk, I simply hook-up my box trailer.

Even Ford salespeople don't know what's going on with the Ranger. I don't see how Ford can do much with them when there is no advertising. My salesman said they got one Ranger for this year and that's all they will get. That doesn't seem like a good way to generate sales, of course that justifies the lack of advertising. Go figure.
