I have a line on a new, unused Diesel Manor gauge kit with a 30 lb boost gauge for a decent price. Is 30 lb high enough though? At most, I plan on doing 6637 (got the filters today!), 4" turbo back exhaust, DP tuner, and stage 1's.
I went with the 40 # gauge. If I hold WOT I can go a little over 30#. I usually feather the pedal keep around 25# untill I decide on the WW or ATS. Surge gets bad over 25#.
Ah, yeah, the intercooler will definately drop it down a little.
I think it was you, Luke and a couple others that gave me the advise on the intercooler @ 2 years ago. Glad I did it, especially when towing in the hills.......
If you are stock, wot normally is around 18 psi. At around 23 psi the computer starts to defuel to limit boost. With my setup I haven't seen over 18 psi yet even when towing.
