I guess I have to spend about 300 before spending the 450+ on a chip. These trucks sure aren't cheap. I already hollowed out the cat, but haven't touched the downpipe. What was ford thinkin with that anyways?
Bill, I just made a 200 Mile run to-from Nh to Ma to test MPG w/o chip, The whole thing was done with the truck at 65 MPH because diesel is sky rocketing and I'll squeeze as much out of a gallon as i can! I did a shorter run (100 miles) with chip at 65 and managed 21. after I fill I'll calc mileage and see what I get. defiantly not fun w/o chip
I should note that mileage is done with winter blend, wonder what summer blend will do!! I also run a high ratio of Power Service in every tank to keep fuel from gelling.
Calling Tony later to finalize stuff on the chip and get him some funds.
Let you know once mileage is calced, later in the week possibly is when I'll fill that tank up. I have a good method, Front tank = Mileage tank Back tank = "having fun" tank
