98 Expedition Wipers Broken
I turned on my wipers and snow stopped the pass side, and now it's broken. This has happened to me before. The gears are plastic, and they break very easily. Are there any metal gears available? What a ridiculous design flaw. On my previous car, I could turn on the wipers, and the defroster, and when the snow started to melt, the wipers would push the snow off. Are all trucks like this now?

I think what you might have done is strip out the shaft that fits into your wiper arm. It's an easy fix. Pull the plastic cover where your arm meets the drive shaft and there'll be a nut under it. Just tighten it up a bit and it'll work again.
