We are considering selling our Tahoe and getting an Excursion. The main reasoning is for space. While we only have two young kids, when we have family in town picking them up from the airport is a hassle as their isn't enough luggage space with the 3rd row seats in the Tahoe. Secondly, we intend to buy a 25' (roughly) bumper pull travel trailer this summer to toy around in on the weekends. We'll likely be getting a V10 mainly for cost reasons. (8k more for the diesel buys a whole lot of Gasoline) What advice can you give me?
One question that would be helpful to have answered is what is the width of the vehicle INCLUDING the mirrors? What is the width of the vehicle with the drivers mirror pulled in? (I ask becuase we have a narrow garage entrance.
Thanks! It shows the width as 79.9 inches. I am guessing that doesn't include with the mirrors extended?? I ask because our Tahoe doesn't go thru our garage door without pulling in the drivers side mirror.
Can anyone tell me how wide the xcursion is with side mirrors out and the width with passenger mirror out, drivers mirror pulled in? I"d greatly appreciate it!

Is this towing mirrors or regular mirrors. Just let me know and I will go take some measurements
You do realize that the Excursion is a "true truck?" Its based off the Super Duty platform and was designed about nine years ago, so its not going to be near as refined as your 07 Tahoe that was designed about 2 years ago. Your going to have to sacrifice a little refinement for all the space and the generous towing capacity. When you do get the Excursion though, I know you'll enjoy it and find it extremely useful and it will do whatever you need it to do with no complaint. Have you drivin an Excursion yet?
