I have it for phone and internet. So far no problems and the internet is really fast. They just rolled out the cable in my neighborhood about a month ago, but I didn't get it because I just signed a two year contract with the dish when I moved last summer. My neighbor did get it though and he says the picture quality is excellent, he says it's almost like HD quality on his standard tv.
They put FIOS (fiber) through here in Lindenhurst, on Long Island, but no TV yet. I am tempted to switch Internet providers, but they are a little bit much compared to what I'm paying for (and getting) from cable when combined with TV.
The TV stuff has to be worked out with the local gov't (village/town) first before they can do it. Might take years.
If they offered TV and I knew someone who had it already, I'd go in an instant. Cablevision has had their hooks in me too long
