This is my first time doing a frame off,so slow is the key word.Iknow the rails look a little funny, but with the wheels and tires mounted I think it will look cool. This was just a custom idea I had
W O W, that is looking good. What kind of suspension are you going to run? I have a 62 uni that I have been working on. I originally flipped the rear on top of the springs and then just c'ed the frame but, not to the extent that your doing.
gonna run ladder bars and coilovers.I just wanted to get it very low for a good looking stance. In my other gallery there are pics of the front mod,It is a front end from 89'lincoln town car.Never attempted anything like this before I hope it looks good
Did you clip the frame or did you weld in the crossmember and such? Also, where did you get the Notch sheetmetal fabbed up? you have something to cut it or did you have a shop do it?
I did clip the frame.I'm not done with the front frame mod yet, gonna finish that while I finish the rear rail box in while it upside down.As far as the second question,my step son programs the laser where I work so I told him what I wanted and he burned it out and then I started to fab it up.
You have to love those connetcions. I read that you were using a 4-link. Are you gonna build it or were you able to find one that fits those frames pretty well? Keep posting pictures.
Did you pick up a book, or get some directions on designing the setup? Keep me posted, I am all about building it my self, jut not too sure where to start with it.
No book, just looking around on the net and asking friends questions.Hopefully in a few days I will have some new pics of rearend in place withith ladder bars and brackets tac-welded,that part will take some time.I've designed a really cool ford insert to go in the triangle of my ladder bars, can't wait to show pics
