Chip/Tuner 05 3v 5.4L
Hi everyone,
I tried searching for information on a chip/tuner for my truck, but it kept coming up saying nothing found. I don't know if the search wasn't working or my fault, but it doesn't really matter. I'm looking for some info on whats available for my engine. Its power is a little lacking to say the least. I need some more get up and go! It is completely stock but the K&N intake should be arriving this week. Everywhere i look it all about the PSD and I would really appreciate some info first hand. Thanks

Hey Mr. Watson. I have an Edge Evolution for mine and I cannot imagine driving my truck without it. I too was wanting more 'gitty up' and the edge certainly filled that void. I am only running level 2 on 87 octane and it has made a big difference in low end power. You can also get custom tunes for the Evo if you wish to go that route, many I talk to have and have been very pleased with the power it has produced over the canned tuner itself.
There also is the Xcal 2 and Xcal 3. These also are canned and custom tuned programmers. If you this route I recommend either troyer performance or vmp. Wait time on the xcals right now is about 7-8 weeks to get your custom tunes. About the only difference between the Xcal and the Evolution is the Evo has a mounting pod with visible gauges which many (including myself) have found to be very useful.
The Edge has had some bugs through it and they are slowly being worked out but I am glad I purchased mine. Hope this helps.
