Because we have to pay for this war some way. I'm sure they will say that its because they are coming into thier summer fuel supply now. Or some other ridiculous reason.
blame the war..hell, blame the stupid politicians and enviromental wackos who won't let us drill for oil right here at home and not have to be held hostage by opec!!!!
3rd largest oil deposit in the world is 60 miles off of the Florida cost, in international waters, But the brains in D.C. passed a law awhile back under pressure from the enviro wackos that no oil company can drill less then 75 miles from shore---so guess whos is building the 2 largest oil platforms in the world there right now????...... the frickin CHINESE!!! So they will be drilling and shipping oil back to china from right off our coast! makes alot of sense doesn't it!!!!!

Give it a rest man.
Because the price of crude is around $103/barrel? As I see it, the real cause is the fact that oil is traded on the commodities market. Even though market pressures are present that historically have tended to push the price of crude down (mainly a slow down in the US economy and economies in other parts of the world, building crude inventories), large investors are pulling money out of stocks and putting it into the commodities markets continuing to drive the price of crude higher. The prices continue to rise even though the fundamentals would indicate they should be going down. Hopefully the bubble will burst and there will be a correction. Hard to say if or when that will happen. I know that's probably simplistic, but it's my best effort at answering your question.
Rumor around here has it that diesel will hit close to 5 bucks a gallon this fall. I don't see the summer blend to go down at all hmmmmmm I wonder if they will ever make a powerstroke hybrid LOLOLOL
Lets take everyone from all the diesel forums and head to washington to protest!!! Park about a 1000 super duties in front of the white house and tell em we aint moving till we see some relief. It may not work, but atleast we would get a good meet and greet in!!! Ill bring the hotdogs
