F-350 Steering problems
I need some help. I have a 1997 Ford F-350 with a 7.3 LTR diesil. I am having steering problems. What it is doing is surgeing kinda like it is trying to correct its self. I already have had to put a new steering box on it. Today I replaced the power steering pump to see if that is the problem. No luck with that. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is this a 4 wheel drive truck?
Could a hub or bearing be dragging every now and again, causing a "pull" to one side?
Also, it could be the tires. Try putting the front tires on the back axle, see what the truck does after that.

I have some new information. I checked at a local parts house about anothor steering box because this is what I suspect is the problem. They said their is two different boxes for this truck depending on the production date. The difference is the gear ratio and no visual difference. When I contacted the dealer ( where the box on the truck came from ) they said that their is two boxes to choose from. A two and four bolt and they gave me the four. Anyone know how to distinguish between the two bolt and four? Whitch place knows what they are talking about?
