Okay so I am driving to work this morning going between 55-60mph and all of a sudden I hear a pop (not very loud, but it was a pop sound) come from the truck and then it just died. I coast down the side of the road till it stops and try to start it. It will turn over, but doesn't start. There is no sounds of anything loose. Any clues as to what I might be looking at? I have a friend who will take a look at it for me, but I figured I'd ask for opinions on here as well.
truck is 1977 f-250 with the 300 in and 4-speed on the floor and 4 wheel drive.
Thanks for the fast replies. I'll mention the info to my friend. Not sure if it makes a difference with the timing gears, but mine truck is a 1977.5 so it's not a highboy. I am so use to just calling it a 77 and forget that it is really a 77.5
