Water jacket taps?

Hi all; I'm putting in an electric fan on my 300. I need to find a place to thread in a sending unit so that I can turn the fan on\off. Are there any places on the block or the head that I can do this, other than the one for the sending unit for the gauges? I want to keep that there, and you can't tee for coolant sensors. Thanks!

Some of the later thermostat housings were tapped for sensors. See if you can get ahold of one of them. They show up occasionally on ebay. Otherwise its off to the junkyard.

Or just get one from the parts store. It'll cost a little more, but it's new and it won't be all pitted and rusty.

Another option would be a heater hose fitting for a early-mid 90's Ranger w/2.3. It's a T fitting that goes in the heater hose and is tapped for a temp sender.
