Also could you tell me where to look for the charger protect install.
Sarge, here's a link with some useful info on the high idle mod. If I'm not mistaken the wire is purple with a green tracer.
When you hook your number 4 switch to this wire, turn the switch on and and apply your parking brake within a few seconds your truck will ramp up to 1200 rpm's. If you were torun a lot of accesories or jump someone you truck will ramp up to about 2400 rpm's thus preventing a draw on your battery.
It's a mod well worth your time and can be done with just a single 18g butt connector or you can solder the end of the charge protect wire to the wire off the #4 switch and heat shrink it. I was ablr to do this mod in less than 15 minutes.

Post #10 is the major detail.

I will order them through the link you gave me. They are $40.00 cheaper there. Also I am going to assume that the first 2 switches have a relay for larger draw items. I have a BD Exhaust brake on my truck and would like to use one of the Upfitter swithces for that so I can get my power pedals back. Also could you tell me where to look for the charger protect install. Thanks for all the help and saving me 40.00. I kinnda knew my dealer was full 'o' poopie anyway. I remeber reading about this install back in 04 when I bought my 1st. Diesel. Just that it was an 04 and I couldnt do it.
Thanks,
Sarge

Why are you power pedals not working with our brake? The brake should not effect the power pedals, let me know if I can help out in anyway.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Just to clarify again the same as the guys have mentioned here, easy install for the switches. With the kit you should get everything. remove your coin tray and it gives you a smaller coin tray to fill the gap. I paid just under 100 bucks and took about an hour on my 06 as well.
WildWildWest Emailed me very good instructions so I should have no problems. Just waitin to get my parts here.
Thanks Again,
Sarge
P.S. Can anyone help with with editing my gallery? It always tells me that the Java Script cannot load no matter what computer I have. I would like to add pics of the new truck.
