I called my dealer today looking for an upfitter switch kitfor my 06. They told me that I could not add it if it didnt come with it. I was looking on Ebay for the switches and there was a set on there for 139.00. Before I push the buy it now button I have 3 qestions...
1.) Can they be added without any modifications?
2.) Is that a good price or is there a FTE sposor that sells them? Supposedly this auction was for the fuse block that goes with the switches.
3.) Is this a plug and play install or is this a big project?

Your dealer is blowing smoke up your six. You most certainly can add the upfitter switches to your truck. I know because I did. I bought my assembly from Ed back when he was still with Y2k Ford. It's a fairly easy install. My fist use of the switches was to use the number 4 switch for my high idle/charge protect.
You can also add the tow command apparently, just requires the master cylinder to be replaced and have your dealer reprogram the truck to include the tbc. pretty sure i was looking at the same switches as you and that seller also has the brake controller, it will not work on the 03 or 04 models though is what the seller told me
O.k. OASIS is done with maint. I was wrong about ther being a TSB for this, it's actually a SSM....take this to your dealer and stick it up his....nevermind.

I will order them through the link you gave me. They are $40.00 cheaper there. Also I am going to assume that the first 2 switches have a relay for larger draw items. I have a BD Exhaust brake on my truck and would like to use one of the Upfitter swithces for that so I can get my power pedals back. Also could you tell me where to look for the charger protect install. Thanks for all the help and saving me 40.00. I kinnda knew my dealer was full 'o' poopie anyway. I remeber reading about this install back in 04 when I bought my 1st. Diesel. Just that it was an 04 and I couldnt do it.
Its running all these mods when you bought it? Or are you just doing them all yourself. Does the exhaust brake work well and does it use a TC lock up controller?
Yes it came with all the mods, and it does have the TC lock up control from BD diesel also. The guy who had it trades every 2 years he drives about 26,000 miles a yearand does all the mods to them when he gets them. It also has the high ram intake and bigger intercooler pipe as well. The dealer insalled all the add ons when he bought it after about 10,000 miles so they will work onit without m having to return back to stock. This is the first time I have delt with this dealership and they have ben a rel pleasure so far. Latham Ford in New York. I had a bad experience with an 04 6.0 that was bought back. Ever since the day they took that truck back I always wanted another one. I was going to get an 08...but I didnt have the $$ for a 350 CC Lariat. So I saw this one on the lot. This forum did an Oasis for me it came back clean with 1 repair. The delaer gae me all the Maint. records for the truck so the price was right they gave me 25,000 for my F-150 and I bought it. It also has the deep sump trans, and rear diff covers by magtec too. Over all I am glad to be back in a Diesel...even though the prices are around $ 4.00 a gallon.
Are the parts in the link above OEM Ford parts or are they used parts. The description reads "our parts" They look new but I want to be sure before I buy

Thanks,

If you are referring to the parts from the link to powerstrokeshop.com for the upfitter switches, yes they are all original OEM brand spanking new ford parts - that is where I got mine from and it took about an hour to install. Great option for the '05 and up trucks that plugs right in.
