My buddy asked me if I would ever stack my chips. I told him now. He asked why not, and I was stumped. What are the plus' to stacking a chip and what are the down sides. I have a dp tuner now. thanks guys
DP-Tuner is all you need. Stacking anything else is completely useless.
If you try to stack with a programmer, the DP-Tuner chip will override whatever the programmer is trying to do. So that turns out to be an un-stackable combo.
If you try to stack an ICP box such as the Edge EZ, Banks 6-Gun, etc, then those will only call for more ICP than your HPOP can handle. The DP-Tuner chip already has ICP tables programmed in the tuning, so bumping it up higher won't do any good. In fact, you might see more smoke and a drop in power at WOT on higher chip settings. So again that turns out to be a bad combo as well.
Stacking is old technology for the PSD that has no use with current chips. Everything can be controlled from a single unit, and with better precision.
Like pocket said, in the performance world you do not stack chips & programmers or chips & ICP modules. I guess you *COULD* stack a chip OR a programmer with an ICP module, but in most cases you actually end up with less power and marginal drivability. Pick you poison, but only pick one.
I did say in most cases... Obviously there are cases where they do work, especially when in tune with each other. Good to hear your setup is working well for you.
yea it works real good all i gotta do it get a clutch to hold it bc the stock on slips on the dyno badly but that was my numbers with the stocker in it

Dude Dp tuner hardly does anything. It only gives 140 RWHP.
