Just a quick question. Replacing my sister fuel filter on her 6.0. Is it right next to the oil filter on top with the square wrench female on top?? Is that what you use to get it off is a square socket wrench to remove??
Don't forget the fuel/water separator on the driver's side frame rail. Takes a 36mm socket same a the oil filter and a 6mm allen key for the drain. Definitely use a hex wrench on the secondary fuel filter.

The filter is behind the 36mm socket under the truck on the drivers side frame rail? The drain is the 6mm hex wrench next to it? Is the secondary filter on the top of the engine by the oil filter with a hex (female) top? So there are two fuel filters??
I don't know exactly what you are referring to here... Is 15w40 the correct engine oil? It is the standard oil for warm weather operation, although many here run 5w40 synthetic year round..... There is a table in the owners manual discussing oil grades and temperature of operation.

I need to change my fuel filters and transmission filters and fluid. Where is 6.0 Tech folder that info above is in? Went to 6.0 Tech folder in this 6.0 Diesel forum and file regarding fuel filter contained less info than address above. It doesn't contain a step #20 that bigredtruckmi stresses.

The Tech Folder (under fuel filter change) provides a link and the link that bigredtruck gave you both contain a detailed procedure with a "step 20". Click on the link and the procedure will be displayed.
