ok guys I have a 4" lift and 33 11.5. I just got 33 12.5 and they stick out some, But the handling is really bad compared to the 11.5 tires, Is there a kit to improve on this and does a stablizer do that much. It seems to be loose when driving down the road and if you go over hills or bumps the steering goes to the left when you are compressing the suspension and to the right when the suspension is sprung? what can I do to help this problem
sounds like ya need to play with your tire pressure some. tire shops are great for runnin max pressure whats on the tire and most of our trucks drive like crap with the tire at max pressure with noting on the truck.
60 all around on mine. And I guess everything is in good condition seeing as it drives.. well.. better with the 11.5 and really bad with the 12.5. could something be wrong with tires/wheels or is this because they stick out farther. And what should I do lower the pressure? wouldnt that make it float around more?
are you on stock rims? the pressure sounds fine to me.
you can jack the ft end up to check to be sure no balljoints or steering knuckles have play, even a little bit can be exaggerated by big tires. if all is tight i really think the stabilizers will solve your problem
with the wider tire on the stock rim its gonna make the tire more round making more pressure on the center of the tire making it walk more. playin with tp usually takes care of it. i had to do this when i went back to 285's from 265's
i run the 315's on stock rims with no drivability issues, dropping the tp on mine makes it worse, 50 psi (load d's thats the max) is my happy point. i got a little better fuel miles with them at 65 just for craps and giggles but then i went back the the manufacture's psi rating

I have 10 inch wide rims for the 12.5 wide tires, so I did not just change the tires, I will have to get a stablizer, Just wanted to make sure that is acually going to help, Thanks guys I will try it.
while back, i wentfrom 265/75 to 33 12.5 and didn't notice any steering problems, i was actually suprised, thought it would get harder to turn at slow speeds. i am now on 285/75 and didn't have any problems with either of those sizes on stock rims. i would shake down the front end like coon said to make sure there is nothing loose under there.

The "loose" steering could be from the taller lug of the new tires or the pressures. Also the steering wheel moving is bump steer. Does your truck have a drop pitman arm on it?
