disable warning chimes!

I want to know how to disable the chime that sounds when you open your door with the keyes in the ignition on a 97.Thanks!!!!!**KAREN***

Leave the keys in the ignition, open the door, lay upside down in the floor board and find it, then unplug it....usually its a white box that make the noise. That will also be the noise maker for the lights left on warning....

I doubt it - well if its only a buzzer it won't hurt anything - I've never looked at the part we are talking about.....but in a lot of cars its that way. I used to work at Circuit City, people constantly told me to take them out if I could find them....
