Idling too high

Hey guys, I just cleaned out my throttle body and now my truck idles at very high rpms. The code that came up said it was the IAC valve but that seems to be working just fine. It is somewhat intermittent so can it be that the IAC is malfunctionig? I have a 1996 F150 4.9L 2WD

The IAC valve can get sticky, which will cause it to work one minute, and not work the next. You can clean them, I think kerosene is a popular way but someone check me on that.
