Making MY Intro

I guess I should start by saying I am 34 years old, married to a fantastic wife, father to two mean little boys, and a lifelong Ford man. The first vehicle I ever bought was a 1993 reg cab F-150 4x4. I bought it used in 1996 with 85k miles and I still have it. It currently has 135k miles.

The reason I came to this forum is I am about to purchase a truck. I am looking for a f-250 Lariat CC 4x4 V10. I want a V10 because this will only be a weekend and family trip vehicle. I can't justify the additional cost for the diesel when I will only be driving @5k miles a year. Now I have to decide if i am going to buy a 05-07 or order a new 08.

I work in a Ford dealership as a F&I manager. I really like the new styling of the 08 trucks, but I like the price of the pre-owned one's. Anyway if i can answer anyones questions pertaining to financing a vehicle I will. Of course most of my answers will be my opinions and may or may not be the right choice for each individual. At the end of the day it is your choice to make.

I guess I will close by saying that this looks like a really great forum and I look forward to getting involved.

Welcome!

I would save the money and buy a used one if you can get a good price and a good rate. The amount of use you are talking about doesn't justify a new truck IMHO.

Feel free to post questions or comments in the tech forums and we'll see you around.

Welcome to the site. There is alot of good information and people around. I just wanted to let you know I liked your name.
GO HEELS!

I to agree with dan above me. The amount that it seems you will be using the truck, I would go for a used one.

Those 08's sure are nice though.
