With you choosing to Pro-Street your truck and cutting the wheel wells, we
may need some more info, 4/ Link, Ladder Bars, Moving the leafs inboards?
You may want to get your truck real close to being set up,are you using a fuel cell? is in the front of the bed or the rear of the bed? Battery moved to the bed ? And then you may want barrow a set of race car scales!
P.S. post some updated pics of your project truck!
I'm gonna run ladder bars.fuel cell will be in the rear frame. I am ok with a stiff suspension because from the frame rails to my tires is only 1"(33x19.5x15)I have some new pics of what I'm doing to the rear frame,it might look weird now but with the tires and wheels in I think it will look cool.Tell me what you think
On my 63 Pro Street Uni with CE ladder links and coilovers i had to go to 800# springs.
As Wally says you need to actually build the truck, add all the weight and then select springs. Use a collar (spacer) at typical spring height and adjust accordingly. you will go through at least four sets of springs till you get it right.
A F100 had a typical bias of 70 percent of weight on the front and 30 on the rear. Typical is 4100# without load.
You selection depends on what you will haul.....
A set of coils to handle 3300 will have you and about thirty other persons in the back to get it to move...LOL
Your updated pics in your gallery, they did not take?
When you get ready to weigh your truck to find out what spring, I have saw some keep the old stuff and weigh the cut out stuff if you go this route
don't forget to weigh a full size spare, also and the tire holder to.
P.S. if you weigh the truck add some added weight for fuel in your cell !
