My truck (Stock, with tailgate removed) weighs in at about 4950 lbs. Give or take a few with with gas and other fluids. I weighed it with a 200 lbs person in it at the rock quary so it said about 5150. Maybe just 5100LBS.... its been a few months.

2004 XLT Regular Cab, short bed.

I think all you get off the door/tire sticker is GVWR(Gross vehile weight rating) which is the total it can weight loaded.

You would think Ford would mention this somewhere in the manuals or the web page, but it's totally ignored. I guess you could subtract the rated payload from the gross and get a pretty close guess.. I'd like to see the differences between Regs, Scabs and Screws..

I need to weight the current boat I have so I guess I'll find out then..

I figured out my truck weight from here

http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/features/specs/

I have a 4.6L, 3.55, XLT, SCab, 6700lb GVWR <~ got GVWR from inside door frame. It was also on the sale sticker

Under PAYLOAD section, states my truck's max payload is 1530, so, 6700lbs (GVWR) - 1530lbs (PAYLOAD) = 5170lbs should be my trucks weight.

Hope this is right, if so, hope this helps

In Florida, the vehicle weight used to be listed on the registration slip. I just checked and it is listed on the registration for my '02 F150.

MX, by that my Scab Lariat 4 x 4, 6.5ft bed weighs 5550lbs...

My 88 Bronco with a 351 weighs 5200lbs on the local dump scales and it's only half as long as the Scab..lol..

So the Screws are 120lbs heavier than the 144" Scabs??

Yeah, all SCREWS are 5.5' bed and if you're also considering it bening a 4x4, it is 120lbs heavier than the SCAB with a 6.5' bed.

I trust those numbers, this truck feels REALLY heavy. Damn, your Bronco's heavy!

Right, and a 133" Scab with the 5.5ft bed weighs 5520lbs... That sounds weird.. A foot less frame on each side, a foot less bed, a foot less driveshaft only weighs 30lbs??

I think the only way to know is to weigh it. Like I said I've got to weigh the boat so it will be interesting to see how it comes out.

Dunk- your local dump is overcharging/ overweighing. My '02 F150 scab weighs 4292 lbs. If I remember correctly (highly doubtful), my '88 F150 (2wd, auto, reg. cab) weighed about 3800+.

How?? They weigh you when you go in and when you come out..........you pay the difference. It's been awhile since I've asked them to weigh anything for me, but they have a charge to do it. They are a state certified scale.. I've had the Bronco on other scales.. It's right..51-5200. Bronco's had plenty of guts in them. I still hate to get rid of it. It runs great, It should I've replaced about everything in/on it in the last two years, but with 145k on it, it's not the vehicle I want to be dragging boats up and down the east coast with.. It get's 10mpg uphill/downhill/hwy/in town...doesn't matter. Although it got 11.5 towing the 3000lb boat to Hatteras last year.. Figure that out..? 88/351/C6/3.55, no overdrive..

I have an 04 F-150 reg cab flareside 4x4 with a 4.6 and some of the paperwork when I bought it said it weighed 5300 lbs with a full tank of gas. I wondered about this but I was on a scale with a full tank of gas and my weigh out ticket was 5300 lbs dead on the money. I use to have an 84 F-150 reg cab 4x4 with a falreside bed, 300 I-6 and a c-6 auto that weighed 3400 lbs. Same truck model plus 2000 lbs., there goes the adage that new vehicles don't have as much steel in them.
