Joe, did you see the link I posted? it will brighten up your dash when you have your lights on during the day.........and it will cost you nothing, just have to pull one wire.
If you find anything on getting to the bulbs, please let me know. I already know how to take the dash off...did it several times to look for the code for the keypad entry. From what I can remember, the gauge cluster is held in by a couple of screws. Just gotta pull it out and see what it looks like from behind.

Mr. Fooch, just a thought - since most of us think the dash lights are very bright at night, maybe you have an issue with the truck. Like a poor ground? That can make bulbs dimmer than designed. Maybe check that connection while you have the cluster out.
How hard is it to get the dash out and then the instrument cluster out to replace these bulbs? Never done it before, but have the shop manuals. Looks like alot of work. Plus I need to replace a couple vents on the dash. Anyone have an idea hour wise what I can expect? Any suggestions. Thanks -Ken
