What Next

Well I want to go to the next step on making my X Faster and more powerful.
So far I got the 6637 air filter, MBRP 4 inch Exhaust, Dipricol Gauges Boost, Trans, ETG and the Best thing so far a Dp tuner. So what I have planed next is a BTS VB but after that I am clue less.
Thanks for any Ideas
Nick

Well, after the BTS VB install you can go ahead and have the chip reburned because you will need to. Might as well wait for the bigger turbo and injectors to get it all done at once. Since you have an 01, might just want to save for the BTS too as that is likely to have the diode tranny. So you may want to pass on the VB while saving for the tranny upgrade. Not a matter of if but when.

I am running my diode unit until it pukes. Then gonna fix it right. So far, running tough. A VB or shift kit is not gonna replace that sprag or diode.

Good for you, or dad. Did they replace the diode/sprag assembly? The rest of what I said still applies.

I'm basically to the same point, Nick. The next step for power are injectors/turbo. If I were you, I'd read up on your options. I've made my mind up a set of single-shot sticks and a BB turbo, so now it's time save up. We're talking some pretty big $$$ at this point -- I read in another thread where Mike was comparing all this to the cost of going Fummins, so keep that in mind. I'm a dedicated Ford guy, so mine will stay a real PSD. I like the sound of these. I can't help but think fart-cannon-ricer every time I hear a CTD wrapping some rpms.

two words for Nick and Joe. FUEL SYSTEM. reg return, DFA system, homeade system, whatever works for you, but you will be amazed at the difference it will make.

Hey Brandon... I thought about that as soon as I saw that you replied. I'll tackle that when I prep for the injector upgrade. Saving for that project as well. First will be a tranny-cooler, 'stat, & red koolaid swap (some minor stuff to get done), then when I get back from the desert I should have enough saved up for the sticks & DFA system. That's the plan, anyway...

I totally agree you wont notice a lot in the power area but I would definitely do it before injectors.

I'm waiting to see what happens with FN74's idea on the regulated return retro on our motors. I like a guy that can think out of the box. I am intrigued by the idea. I hope he can pull it off.
