Thanks! You answered a question I had about the headliner. I wasn't looking forward to pulling it completely out. Should be pretty straightforward project.

Yea, you can't get the headliner out of a crewcab unless you pull the rear window, or maybe by pulling the front seats. No need to do that anyway if you're careful.
I did the lights and the overhead console in a day. And I was working alone. Dealing with the headliner and trim takes most of the time.
Get the harness for the lamps. It's well worth the $40 and just plugs in behind the passenger side kick panel. No need to wire into you headlight switch.
As long as you don't screw up the hole layout, it's an easy job.

Have you all bought the lights as a kit? Who from? I'm considering buying a 2000 F250 that doesn't have them. I'd like it too. How much to buy them?
You can get them from sponsors here on FTE. You can go to your local dealership and put all the parts together (no kit form). Or you can do what I did and just search eBay for "superduty clearance lights". Right now you'll find a kit for about $90 from seller HELLERFORD. That includes shipping. This seller also includes hex nuts and washers which some sellers don't include.
I'm gonna put some on my 2000. Sure would be nice if there was a template that you could just put on the roof and go with it. I think it was hellerford that included the directions for making a template, but they only supply it if you order your lights from them. They also say that if you have an overhead console you need a different wire harness.

Hellerford does not include a template, just directions and dimensions. They include a single page instruction sheet, and also a printout, and I mean an exact printout, of emotomans web page. They've put together a nice kit at a fair price, but the instructions don't really add any value unless you don't have a computer printer at home.
That's good to know Bill. I thought they acted like they really had something to offer when I e-mailed them about the template. I think I saw the emotomans web page with pretty good instructions.
I installed mine when it was 10 degrees below zero outside and since then it has thawed out and refroze numerous times. Rained and snowed, and I have had zero problems. The only thing I did different was that I spaced them evenly apart. I think that it looks better than having the three in the middle closer. The stock wiring harness didnt have a problem with the different spacing either.
