I hadn't noticed it but I have been running it every tank since I found the forum and that was a couple days after I bought the truck so I have nothing to compare it to really. When it warms up a bit I may try it out and see what happens. Hmmm....
When hot outside my truck takes an extra second to start. Cold starts are hit the key...CLACK! and she's running.
Not sure why.
I'm sorry but I see this is two replies in a row that y'all are referring to weather. I meant warm engine. With mine and cold engine it starts the same winter or summer. But vice-versa when the engine is warm. Winter or summer with warm engine and DK it takes a few more cranks to start. Not a bunch, but enough to cause me to ask the question of other members.

Mine does the same but only recently (last two or three months). Cold starts...she lights right up. Warm starts......she cranks alittle longer. Sometimes I pause and turn key again.

VERY interesting. I thought it was just me and my truck. I replaced my starter a few months back and geez she starts awesome but every now and again when at full operating temp, cranking a bit longer just like you just said.

Crappy fuel??? Let's see what that equals, oh yeah, EPA, now what does that equal? Oh yeah, the high prices we're' all crying about.
Thomas, are you using the DK with the bio too? If so, I feel that is a big waste of money. I never used DK (pricey) until this USLD snuck into our lives.

No. I stopped using DK when I started using the BioD. I still have some in my tool box for the times when I can't get BioD (out of town or don't have time).
I have to drive a little out of my way for the BioD but when it is between .35 and .50 cents cheaper per gal than Dino D I don't mind going out of my way.
Count your blessings, my nearest bio is 30 miles away, but in NC instead of SC and is about 40 cents more than dino in SC because of tax's.
From what I have read on here it sounds like Houston is one of the only areas in the country where BioD is less the DinoD. Too bad. Its a nice alternative.
