Anyone know where i can find a new short block for a 400ci?

I know we can get them at Auto Zone and I know Advance Auto Parts can too. Used to work there also. Don't remember the price right off hand though.

1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then. :-staun

Just find a 351M and get a new crank and pistons for it .

Short Block

I got mine from the NAPA main distribution center here in New Orleans for right at $500. If the salesman knows what he is talking about, you can try to request certain overbores and crank grinds. I would recomment staying at or below .040 overbore.

Do you mean 'new' as in brand new, never used? If so, no known sources...

I think i'm just going to get my old block checked cleaned and bored.. one more question though, where can i get flat top pistons for my 400 m? do they still make them.. I'm wanting 10 to 1 comp. will i have to go with regular pistons or do they still make flat tops?
