Changing from 360 to 351m

I have a 1974 Ford 1 Ton that had a 360 engine in it, and I want to put a 351M in it. The 351M came out of a 1977 model that has electronic ignition (brain box), the 1974 does not have a plug for this ignition. Is there a simple solution, or will I have to change out the entire wiring harness? You can email replies to:

The simplest solution is to get a 351C or an early 429/460 points distributor. A pertronix electronic conversion would be a good idea for about $60. The ignition should be the least of your problems. If you're going to the trouble of swapping an engine, why not a 400 or a 460?

You could install an aftermarket ignition system for around $350.

I believe that the 360/390 had a slightly different bell-housing pattern(c6) than the M blocks. If this is the case, unless going all out, put the 390 in.
