I agree with firstonraceday. I used Rust Bullet on the frame, axles, springs, ect on my 78 F250 4x4 CRew. First I had everything sand blasted and cleaned to bare metal, then applied two coats of Rust Bullet per instructions, then top coated with Chassis Black. I used the automotive version of rust bullet. One great thing about rust Bullet, is you don't have to use all those chemicals to prep the metal before appying Rust bullet like you do with Por15. You can apply directly over rusted metal and it will adhere. Rust Bullet adheres really well - i wore that stuff on my hands for 4 days with serious scrubbing before it came off!!! Oh and Rust Bullet is NOT sensitive to UV rays where as Por 15 is - it will fade over time when exposed to sunlight - Rust Bullet will not. Price is about the same ~$30 a quart last time i bought it about 2 years ago.

I just used some por-15 today. I used it on a small part of rust on bed that I just found and then since my bed floor was getting a bunch of surface rust I used it all in there. Hopefully it'll work out ok. Still have to paint the sides inside bed. I'm just going to use normal spray paint on the sides because it will probably stick better since the surface is still smooth. The reason I got por-15 was because I picked it up when on display at Carlisle last Fall.
