ok it stopped romping, but leaks a little bit even with the plug cap on it, actually goues through the boot and out the wire end when its running, it drips...............drips...............drips... and makes a puddle on the ground when running, are you saying that i dont need that sensor, or should i buy a new one, im guessing it not supposed to leak, it this correct
Correct its not supposed to leak. You should replace the sensor or as a stop gap measure until you get a new one you can put a 1/8 inch pipe plug in there to stop the leaking.

re kindleing and old flame, my problem is back, and i have tried ubpluging the icp sensor and starting it in neutral, it still romps, im wondering if my oil isnt of good enough quality, i used napa 15 40 fleet this oil change and cant think of it doing it before the oil change any advice on this is always apprecited, it does stop romping one i apply throttle but romps at 100 degrees outside
also if i let it romp for 20 seconds and let it idle itsway out, i can shut it off and restart with no romping, but if it romps and i shut off it will continue to romp on start up, i had the problem stop for about two weeks and then it came back to romping, hoping its not bad injector / injectors, no smoke unless it romps and then it puffs as it romps
I don't know who makes NAPA's oil. How many miles are on the oil? Is it diesel rated oil? Just because it's diesel rated, doesn't mean it's good in these trucks unfortunately. Many of us run synthetic oil in our trucks. Some oil will foam up causing problems in the High Pressure Oil System. Are you running any kind of additive in the oil?
I can't say if that oil is your problem or not. Usually running Rotella or Motorcraft, I have heard nothing bad about either of those oils for the 7.3's. NAPA oil though, I don't know.
put qt lucas oil stabilizer in it, and still romps, it has to be a sensor, as soon as i hit pedal it stops, ive tried starting in neutral it does same thing, unplugged some sensors same thing... any other tips
Yah that lucas stuff is garbage for these engines.
Mine was romping when i got her and continued to romp after a fresh oil change and fresh lucas.next oil change i put in delvac 15-w40 1300+ with no lucas and the romps went away. My guess is these motors are just picky about their oil.
Then again maybe it is your accelerator pedals position sensor giving you guff?
I heard of these symptoms being cleared up by cleaning the sensor, or replacing it. Cleaning is at least another nearly free diagnostic avenue.

Any chance you tried a new cps?
Some additives can cause the oil to foam which will cause rough idle and the romps
