hello all! I am a member over on the 6.0 forum, but had a question regarding my dads 2003 supercrew 5.4. look for some better shocks, and was wondering what you all went with? I know the main choice for superdutys is Bilsteins, and didn't know if it were the same on 150's? Thanks for all your help.
On my 98 f150 i had rancho RS9000X adjustable shocks with the in cab controller, absolutely loved it! I could control the front and rear on seperate channels so I could adjust for towing, highway driving, in town, off-road or any condition. You can get them without the in cab controller and just use the ***** on the shock instead, which works just as well.
For a nice quality, reasonably priced shock absorber, you might want to check the Monroe Reflex. I have had them on two F150s and been very happy. http://www.monroe.com/products/mp_de...ck%20Absorbers
They are not too pricey and they have a lifetime replacement warranty.
When they wear out, you can return them to the store and get free new ones.
I have done so several times and never any hassle.
Actually, that's the problem with the Monroe's: they wear out too fast. It's not a real big deal to change 'em, but if you get Bilsteins, you won't have to.
