i'm looking for some info on the 351m's,head types,i have desktop dyno, but do not know what type of heads they come with stock,or the valve sizes, and need to know if someone can give info on what cam would really sound good and perform well with 4v intake and 600 carb, should i move up to a 400 intake or can that be done? I want to use a cam with a least 490 lift any advice on this combo, stock bottom end with arp rod bolts, ported heads,headers,3inch exhaust, with flowmasters,3.08 gear,c-6 trans
the best answer is at projectbronco.com under tech stuff.
the had @ 78cc chambers, canted vavles
2.04 intake amd 1.60 exhaust
headers size is 1 3/4 to 2 inches, which is considered large by desktop dyno.
the vavles are large, but you will have to make your won head table because dd22 uses a chrysler 340 head flow for the canted vavles and its set a 25 inches.
A 351M and 400 are essentially the same except for crank and pistons and maybe some cam specs.
I think this is a very good, all around build up. Read this article.
