Tranny swap

Will an E40D from a 91 F-150 with straight 6 be the same and fit into my 97 F-250 with a 5.8? I am assuming I need a new tranny as mine slips terribly when kicking down into second gear. It works fine when just cruising around but climbing hills or passing causes the tranny to slip. Any ideas?

it should fit but im not sure about the wiring
