Alright, I've been around and read all the articles but something I haven't found: I have decided to go ahead and do the change. I called a few parts houses and many do not carry the single platnum plugs. Most carry the doubles and most are the autolites (AP103). Do you guy think this will be a problem. I have a hard time paying the local stealer ship $7 per plug (AGSF22WM) when I can get the doubles for $3.00. same thing on the boots, dealer want $15.86 yet I can get borge warners for $3.69.
One part house had reccomended a motorcraft SP479 but I hadn't heard of that part number before???
If you want to save some cash, go to Wally world a pick up 5 packs of the single platinum autolites. The ground bar is the only place you need platinum because thats where most of the wear occurs. The V10 runs very well on single platinums so thats what I'd get.

This is what I did they even had a $1 a plug mail in rebate
From what I can tell, the WalMart Autolite AP103's are single platinum, APP103's are double. When I go to the Motorcraft website and look up my plug application AGSF-22W the SP479 shows up too. Maybe the SP479 is the newest plug? I would like see a SP479 and see if it is a black plug like the AP103 or plated.
I actually meant APP103, I must have missed a "P". Hasn't the concensus been that the nickle plated are the way to go? If thats the case I don't believe any of the autolits are? So just go to wally world and get the AGSF22WMs I guess. I would like to know what the SP479s are though???
I prefer MC plugs because of the plating they use. I've been using Autolite single platinums in other Fords for years without a hickup. I wouldn't hesitate to use either.
I use Autolite Copper plugs in my 74'. Fords run good on Autolites.
Question guys! I hate to make this any more complcated, but, Which type of antiseize? I work in aviation, so I have access to all types; nickel based, metal based, copper based, graphite based, you name it!

Nickel based is best. Nickel is like the 2nd highest temp anti-seize you can get and has always worked well for me.
I never really liked copper anti seize. I've always used the Permatex Nickel anti-seize in the 1oz. tubes. (Permatex Part #: 133A) I like the smooth consistancy of it and its easy to apply. I've used all kinds including Loctite, Chesterton and etc. in the bigs jugs with brushes. The peratex in the tube is my favorite.
Well Guys, I have an ansewer to my own question. I ran out at lunch and picked u the stuff to do my plug change. I purchaced 10 Borge Warner Coil to Plug Boots, 10 Motorcraft SP-479 Plugs, and some Anti-Seize. On the 4 pack Motorcraft plug box is a White area designated to the part number. in the area read SP-479 and directly below it read AGSF22WM, they are one in the same!! I had them pull an Autolite Ap103 just for comparison and they were identical short of the plating, black on the ALs and silver on the MCs.
