Is there any odd reason not to use the copper based anti-seize?? Of course as I'm looking thats exactly what I bought! The package says it's good to 2000*F.
[QUOTE=dkf]Nickel based is best. Nickel is like the 2nd highest temp anti-seize you can get and has always worked well for me.
Got it right here:Bostik never-seez, pure nickel special....up to 2400 degrees F. I'll just borrow me a little dab. Now I'll follow SLE to the parts store and then to the convenience store for a 12-pack of courage!
[QUOTE=SLE]Is there any odd reason not to use the copper based anti-seize?? FWIW That's the type I used on my Focus, I wasn't too concerned with it. I haven't heard of plug ejecting issues on it. Plus, they're easy to get to I can change the anti-seize if I have to!.............Now let's see, This here can of Loctite C5-A Copper based say 1800 degrees F. Could it get that hot?

I don't think it matters to the threads what metal chips fill the voids, SLE. Copper is still a soft metal and will still isolate the metals from each other.
