Failing IAC :(

Failing IAC :(

Hey guys, I can feel my IAC starting to go out... (Erratic Idle for the first ~10 seconds after startup) Any suggestions on how to prolong the inevitable failure?

I guess im just a little peeved because I just replaced that SOB less than 10000 mi ago, and that was the 2nd replacement (1st was years ago). Truck info is in the Sig.

I have heard with some ppl that they clean it out with carb cleaner. Someone correct me if i am wrong

You are right. Just clean up the old one and put it in.

Dunno, I didn't do it myself. I had it done at a reputable shop. But actually, the IAC seemed to be doing a little better today for some reason. I'll keep an eye on it and keep you posted.
