I am guessing you have internet explorer. Right click on it, then click on properties. I will bet you will see a strange address in there. Change this address to what you use to get on the net. That will stop what is going on. Then down load AVG and Spy bot.
Avg might have to be updated three times as the download is just basic. When it says no more updates are available, then run the scan. Spy bot should only need one update. On Spy bot make sure you imunize all your files. The square to the left will open it. and pull up the files. Then hit imunize on the top left hand side, and your good to go.

EDIT; You must run scan in Spy bot also!

I've become of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for cleaning client's machines. They get a 30 day free trial, then, if they want to keep it clean, they have to get a subscription.

I rarely get call-backs from re-infections once they figure out how expensive it is to fix..

As pointed out, you need to boot into safe mode to do anything useful with most programs.

Steve.

As of today, I don't think it's possible to get infected with a virus by watching a video on Youtube.

There may be videos that give instructions that, if followed, will render your computer infected. And E-mail containing links to supposed videos which are merely links to a site that infects the browsing computer. But youtube videos that infect are non-existant.

Tomorrow could be a different story.
