cool thanks 4 the info. just gettin started in this,don't know alot but im willin 2 learn.in a year or so i would like 2 make a show quality street truck out of mine.don't find 2 many of them around here anymore.i have a 350-4bolt,400trans. to put in later any suggestions appreciated!

One suggestion is to sell the 350 and keep it all Ford.....
While I`m sort of kidding I think it`s much neater to see a Ford engine under the Ford hood and it`s fairly uncommon in these years of Ford trucks to use a non Ford engine. This keeps it alot simpler, easier while avoiding the hassles of changing motor mounts, exhaust, rad, wiring etc. as nothing fits when cross breeding. I don`t see any significant benefit and possibly a lower vehicle resale value as a result.
In the end it`s your ride to do as you please, drive it as is and then see what appears to be your best option.

i pulled a blown 302 out,when i put the 300 6-cyl.in,still have the 302, probably go with the 302 and keep 350 4 next project. THANKS 4 the advice. i wan't 2 make a ground pounder out of this truck, this is my 1st.FORD build up and i don't know how much hp. i can get from a 302.

question? i have 4.11gears in my truck,i wan't to put a c-4 or c-6 trans in. witch would b the best 4 street rod? i hope 2 b using a 300horse or so 302 after its built.saturday,sunday driver only after put in.
