My truck sat for 4 months not being touched and the front wheels got destroyed!!!! MT classic II's i mean destryed! so I was seaching on the internet and i found to use easy off, for ovens, but on wheels, and it worked!!! easy off a scrub pad and a little work and it came off!!! now, they are dual! any ideas on what you guys use to shine up poilished aluminum wheels thanks guys
Since they come from Mickey Thompson as did my Dick Cepeks I doubt they are (mine aren't). Define destroyed. Are they pitted from road salt? Does it take alot of scrubbing to bring back the shine? If so they are not clear coated.
the easy off oven cleaner got them clean, got the little rust spots, im not sure what all was on there but it got them all off, now they are real dull and im trying to find somthing to put on them to bring the shine back now that thay are clean. thanks agian
This is the stuff I was taalking about. The guy I bought it from did a demo with a peice of aluminum stock when he polished it with this it made it like a mirror! http://wizardsproducts.com/Merchant2...Category_Code=
Stroken.... I have used a metal polish that is called FLITZ. It works VERY nice on aluminum and other harder metals as well. I work on private jets and Flitz is used to polish the aluminum leading edges on the wings. Works well!

Where do you get this stuff at? I would be willing to give it a try!
Sometimes I see it at Checker Auto. I have ordered it online also. Check website... flitz-polish.com. What really suprized me about this product was when I used it on my buddy's boat exhaust tips. They were burnt looking. They are hard chrome I think and when I used it on the tips they came out looking like brand new ones. I really didn't think it would work at all on a hard metal but it did. I would have lost money on that bet.
I have found several good polishes.

Recommended to me by a trucker freind.
Nothing beets a good profesional polishing. A good shop will first youse a coarse compound to cut the metal down, then a lighter compound to polish, and a final step called coloring.
Always use a good wax to seal and prevent oxydation, makes your shine last a little longer.
