lets see, i got a 400 4v clsoed heads 11.76 cr, and flat tops. its not that hard really its not. the pistons sits .0565 in the hole, you need .020 to make a quench. you can safely take .015 from the heads and .045 from the block. now if my nums are a little off, its late, im tired and this has gotten drug out.
Are you running pump fuel? If so, any ping at all? I know quench heads greatly reduce that chance, but...
Hey, we can't get the super premium they used to have! Darn it! I run 10.7:1 factory compression ratio in my 71 351C, and I have never heard any ping off pump gas!]

i actually have 114 sunoco fuel, but when on pump gas, i mix it to 98. it can run on pump gas, but i have not tried it. i have a 227/233 @.050 with a .550/.547 lift cam.
