I have a 96 powerstroke 350 with banks downpipe banks stage 4 chip stage 2 injectors 80hp afe stage 2 intake. It is extremely hard to start in the winter but i know that is a glow plug problem but when i do get it started it throws blue smoke contsant. When i run the truck all day it will still throw blue smoke it never stops. And it is not running right it will jerk contsant to i can't get full boost and i can't run the hills in 5th gear like i used to. I had blue smoke before but i put injectors in it then it stoped and then 2-3 weeks later it started back up again but it got worst. I am having to much blow by going into the turbo. I would like to know what is going on. I think i might know what it is but i want more opions PLZ. It acts like there is a miss in the motor but i don't know.
There is way to much oil in my turbo. Yes i had it scanned and no codes No charred wires No fin damage And yes i am sure it is blue and not white. There is a very big difference is blue and white.
That is what a diesel machanic said. I am geting way to much oil in my turbo. I have a tube that goes from my valve cover to my air intake there is oil leaking form wear it connects to the air intake the oil in running down on my manifold and making a hell of a smell.

Check compression.
I would also check the turbo oil seal.
the compression or the turbo is good? if the compression is good then you shouldnt be having excessive blowby..? did you check the turbo shaft for end play?
and having oil in the intake is normal on these trucks, many of us have done away with the crankcase recircualtion and modifyied it like big rigs.
Do you have to add any oil? Could be bad injector o-rings. My guess is you don't too much blow by. Your mechanic just saw oil in the intake tubing. That is normal. What were the compression numbers?
Yea i checked the turbo shaft for play and there was no play none whats so ever. Yea i konw oil in the intake in normal ut i think i am getting way way to much. Since this thing happen to my truck, my egt is getting very very high it ver got this high before and my temp gauge in the truck with get above normal to and i have a knocking sound under my hood sometimes too. This truck only has 165K on it.
